What is PECCU? 

PECCU is one of such institutions created and managed by Pecten Employees since 1987. PECCU has as priority the financing of members social and economic projects for their well being and that of their families. In PECCU, members' progress and satisfaction is worth more than just money.

A credit union is a financial institution formed and managed by those who enjoy its services. Its main goal is to promote thrift and loan amongst its members. In a Credit Union all the members are equal and have the same number of shares and rights. They elect from amongst themselves those who will manage the affairs of the union and determine for how long they can serve and sanction them accordingly. The members are the highest governing organ of any Credit Union.

Our Values

PECCU is an affiliate of the Cameroon Co-operative Credit Union League (CamCCUL), which is the oldest and largest Federation of Credit Unions in Cameroon. CamCCUL is an umbrella organization belonging to its members and provides services such as education and training, 

Our Objective

The purpose of this Union is:

1. To promote thrift among its members, by offering them an opportunity
   to accumulate their savings.

2. To create for them a source of credit for provident productive purposes
   at fair and reasonable rates of interest.

3. To provide the opportunity for members to use and control their 
   money for their mutual benefits.

4. Generally, to promote the social and economic interest of its members,
   community and the country as a whole.
